Fill glass with ice and add liquor & liqueurs. Add sour mix and orange juice. Float the 151 rum on top and garnish with cherry, orange wedge, and large straw.

The quantity of liquor in this cocktail varies depending upon where you order it. In some places this cocktail is still quite strong. Over the years the alcohol content has decreased significantly.

The drink was originally created by Donn Beach in Hollywood California. The original recipe contained 7.5 ounces of liquor! The sweetness of the mixers masked the strong alcohol flavor.

For years Donn The Beachcomber restaurants where the drink was created, limited their customers to no more than two zombies. One zombie was equivalent to more than three regular cocktails! Having more than one of these drinks really could turn people into zombies.

Most bars now serve a much lighter although still very tasty version of the drink.
