Sugar the rim of the glass and fill it with ice. Fill shaker with ice and add all ingredients. Shake briskly and strain into glass. Garnish with the large straw.
This is basically a margarita with brandy instead of tequila. Instead of salt, sugar is added to the rim of the glass. Like a margarita it can be shaken or blended.
This drink is a classic and has been around since World War 1. There are several variations of the drink which basically consist of substituting the brandy out for yet another liquor like gin or bourbon.
