Large Straw
Fill the glass with ice and add the Rum. Add the mixers and float Grenadine on top. Garnish drink with cherry, orange wedge, plastic sword, and straw.
This sweet and colorful drink comes from New Orleans. It was created by Pat O'Brien in the 1940's because he had too much rum in stock and needed to move it fast. He created the drink and handed it out to sailors who of course loved it. Is there a drink sailors don't love?
Today the drink is extremely popular in New Orleans and across the world. The Hurricane glass was created just to host this drink.
