Martini Glass

Shaker Tin

Ice

Gin 1 1/2 oz

Dry Vermouth 1/2 oz

Bitters dash

Cocktail Onion

 

Add ice, gin, and vermouth to shaker tin.  Stir for roughly 30 seconds and strain into a martini glass.  Add a dash of bitters and one cocktail onion.

 

The only difference between a Gibson and the classic Martini is the cocktail onion.  That's all!

How does adding a cocktail onion instead of an olive change the taste?  I have no idea but Gibson drinkers insist that it does.  Personally, I'll stick to beer and leave my onions on my burger.
