Popular Cocktail Recipes

As a bartender there are certain drinks that you should be able to make with your eyes closed. Many of the following drinks are classics and should be some of the first you memorize. Personally we think memorizing stuff is a drag! Therefore we highly recommend using BarSim software to help you commit drink recipes to memory.
Most of the following drinks have many variations. Depending upon where you work and what side of the country you live on, drinks can vary by quite a bit. The following recipes demonstrate just one way to make a drink. We're not saying that our way is the best, we're just showing you one way so that you'll be familiar with the drink.
A classic example is that although a Martini in theory is a very simple drink to make, it has many variations. Adding or taking away even a quarter oz of gin, or adding a touch too much vermouth can aggravate a Martini drinker like you'd never believe. And watch out if you shake it instead of stirring as requested! You may get it tossed back in your face.
Therefore, when perusing the following cocktail recipes please keep in mind that these represent just one way to make a drink. The establishment you work at and your customers will dictate how exactly to mix each drink.
