Fill glass with ice. Add the liquor first, then pour the liqueur, and garnish with straw.
Served straight from the Cold War, this mixture of coffee flavored vodka was created by Gustave Tops in 1949. A "Tall Black Russian" is a variation that is surprisingly enough served in a taller glass and topped with cola. The difference in taste between the two is as you may have guessed, quite insignificant.
I think I'll achieve world wide fame by creating a drink called a "Tall Margarita." I'll serve it in a tall glass and top it with a splash of grenadine or possibly lime juice. I am a genius!
